ASTM A333 grade 6 steel tube A333 Gr 6 seamless pipe is mainly for application in low temperature services and other applications with the required notch toughness. ASTM A333 pipe can be whether seamless steel pipe or welded steel pipe, and it is furnished to nine different grades designated by numbers 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. The equivalent material of ASTM A333 grade 6 is ASME SA333 grade 6.

Low temperature ASTM A333 grade 6 steel tube A333 Gr 6 seamless pipe is complied to Nominal Dimension standard ASTM B36.10M. (NPS or outside diameter and schedule number of average thickness). Meanwhile, some A333 Gr 6 pipe sizes may not be available under the ASTM A333 standard, as heavier wall thickness have an adverse effect on impact properties.

Notes:
(a) For each reduction of 0.01 % carbon below 0.30 %, an increase of 0.05 % manganese above 1.06 % would be permitted to a maximum of 1.35 % manganese.

(c) By agreement between the manufacturer and the purchaser, the limit for columbium may be increased up to 0.05 % on heat analysis and 0.06 % on product analysis.

Low temperature ASTM A333 grade 6 steel tube A333 Gr 6 seamless pipe could be heat treated from a uniform temperature more than 815℃ [1500℉], then quenching in liquid and reheat to a suitable tempering temperature.

Low temperature ASTM A333 grade 6 steel tube A333 Gr 6 seamless pipe is generally used at temperature above -45℃.
