ASME SA106 grade C is the same with SA106 Gr C and SA106C. They are equivalent to ASTM A106 grade C/ A106 Gr C/ A106C. Both the ASTM A106 and ASME SA106 steel pipes are for high-temperature service. ASME SA106 grade C seamless pipe SA106 Gr C fluid carbon steel pipes are suitable for welding, bending, flanging, and similar forming operations. 

For ASME SA106 grade C seamless pipe SA106 Gr C fluid carbon steel pipes, NPS 1-1/2” and under may be either hot finished or cold drawn. NPS 2” and larger shall be hot finished unless otherwise specified.

For ASME SA106 grade C seamless pipe SA106 Gr C fluid carbon steel pipes, the cold-drawn pipe shall be heat treated after the final cold draw pass at temperature of 1200 °F [650 °C] or higher. While the hot-finished pipe needs not be heat treated. When hot-finished pipe is heat treated, it shall be heat treated at temperature of 1200 °F [650 °C] or higher.
