ASME SA210 grade A-1 seamless pipe is medium-carbon steel, and it is designed for boiler and superheater use. SA210A-1 is short for SA210 grade A-1. ASME SA210 grade A-1 is equivalent to ASTM A210 grade A-1. ASME SA210 seamless pipe grade A-1 boiler tube can be either hot-finished or cold-finished, as specified. The hardness of SA210 grade A-1 seamless pipe shall not exceed 79 HRB or 143 HB.

Hot finished ASME SA210 seamless pipe grade A-1 boiler tube need not be heat treated. Cold finished SA210 grade A-1 seamless pipe shall be given a subcritical anneal, a full anneal, or a normalizing heat treatment after the final cold finishing process.

Mechanical property requirements do not apply to ASME SA210 seamless pipe grade A-1 boiler tube smaller than 1/8 in. [3.2 mm] in inside diameter or 0.015 in. [0.4 mm] in thickness.

The outside diameter size of ASME SA210 seamless pipe grade A-1 boiler tube is 1/2 in. to 5 in. [12.7 to 127 mm]. The min. wall thickness size of ASME SA210 seamless pipe grade A-1 boiler tube is 0.035 to 0.500 in. [0.9 to 12.7 mm]. SA210 grade A-1 seamless pipe with other dimensions can also be furnished, provided the tubes comply with all other requirements of the ASME SA210/SA210 specification.
