Brazil's first sunset review of Ukraine's seamless carbon steel tubes

On September 22, 2020, the Management Executive Committee of the Foreign Trade Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Brazil (GECEX) issued Resolution No. 96 of 2020, making the first sunset review final determination on the seamless carbon steel tubes originated in Ukraine, and continued to levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case for five years. Interpipe NikoTube LLC and PJSC Interpipe NTRP have a tax rate of US$145.26/ton, and other Ukrainian companies have a tax rate of US$708.60/ton. The products involved are seamless carbon steel tubes with an outer diameter of less than 5 inches (141.3 mm) and used in oil and gas tubelines. Products under the tax code 7304.19.00 are involved.

On February 17, 2014, Brazil launched an anti-dumping investigation on seamless carbon steel tubes originating in Ukraine. On November 24, 2014, Brazil made an affirmative final determination on the case. On May 6, 2015, Brazil revised the final anti-dumping determination of the products involved in the case in Ukraine and adjusted the anti-dumping duty as follows: Interpipe NikoTube LLC and PJSC Interpipe NTRP were 145.26 US dollars / ton and 708.60 US dollars / ton for other enterprises.
