In 2020, the novel coronavirus pneumonia production in the EU was severely affected by the new crown pneumonia outbreak. Meanwhile, some commercial and political problems hindered the implementation of the large scale projects in the European Union and some parts of the country.

If the epidemic situation is basically eliminated in the middle of 2021, the production of EU steel pipe industry may rebound moderately in 2021. As the oil and gas industry has a bright future, the demand for large welded pipe is expected to grow in particular. Steel pipe demand in the EU construction industry is expected to recover, while steel pipe demand in the automotive and machinery industries is not expected to be very strong. In addition, the import pressure of EU steel pipe market will still be great, especially the commercial steel pipe. In short, the recovery of EU steel pipe production in 2021 is expected to continue steadily every quarter.

It is estimated that in 2021, EU steel pipe production will increase by 9.6% year on year, and further increase by 4.4% in 2022.
