Banded structure is a kind of defect structure in steel tube. When banded structure is serious, the mechanical properties of steel tube appear obvious anisotropy, which makes the reduction of transverse section of steel tube decrease more. The difference between longitudinal impact energy and transverse impact energy is about one time. The plasticity or toughness of steel tube can not meet the requirements of technical standard. Even if the mechanical properties of steel tube reach the minimum value required by standard, the technical agreement also imposes restrictions on the level of the banded structure in the steel tube. And if the banded structure exceeds the standard, the steel tube can not be delivered.

In order to eliminate the banded structure in the steel tube, we have carried out normalizing and multiple normalizing treatments, but the effect is not satisfactory. Therefore, it is an urgent task to explore the heat treatment process to eliminate or reduce the banded structure in low carbon deformed steel.
