What material is T11 steel?

T11 steel is produced according to American Standard ASTM A213, which does not mean that it is produced in the United States. T11 steel can be produced by steel mills in China and other countries also according to American Standard ASTM A213, and the quality is the same as that of American Standard.

T11 steel is used for boiler, superheater and heat exchanger tubes with minimum wall thickness. It is suitable for seamless iron and austenitic steel pipes with minimum wall thickness for boilers and superheaters and austenitic steel pipes for heat exchangers.

Chemical composition of T11 steel: C 0.05-0.15, Si 0.50-1.00, Mn 0.30-0.60, P, S ≤ 0.025, Cr 1.00-1.50, Mo 0.44-0.65.

Mechanical properties of T11 steel: tensile strength ≥ 415 MPa, yield strength ≥ 170 MPa, elongation ≥ 30%.

American Standard ASTM A213 steel grades are mainly: A213 T11, A213 T12, A213 T22, etc..
