Why does 10CrMo910 alloy tube appear blue brittleness
The reason for the blue brittleness of alloy pipes is the deformation and aging of carbon and nitrogen interstitial atoms. When deformed in the temperature range of 150-350℃, the activated dislocations are anchored by the diffusible carbon and nitrogen atoms, forming a Korotel air mass (Korotkoff air mass). In order to make the deformation continue, it is necessary to start new dislocations. As a result, under a given strain in the 10CrMo910 alloy tube, the dislocation density leads to an increase in strength and a decrease in toughness.
The 10CrMo910 alloy tube adds the corresponding amount of strong carbide and nitride forming elements such as titanium, niobium, and vanadium to form Tic, TiN, NbC, NbN, vC, vN in the steel, and fix the carbon and nitrogen atoms. And adding a small amount of aluminum, in addition to deoxidation, it also forms AlN with nitrogen, which can also reduce the tendency of blue brittleness.
